Julia Morsch Sznewajs has provided strategic communications counsel for more than 15 years. A leader at Res Publica Group since its founding, Julia provides high-level strategic counseling, and expertise in issues management and media relations for both local and national clients.

Julia has orchestrated major regulatory and legislative campaigns that required strategic planning and sound project implementation. She is exceptionally skilled at internal communications related to labor and employment issues, and has worked extensively with the firm's healthcare practice.

Previously, Julia was senior account supervisor in the public affairs group at KemperLesnik Communications, where she managed a number of grassroots campaigns and was deeply involved in coordinating advocacy coalitions.

She also managed lobbying initiatives in energy and the environment for Alcalde & Fay, a Washington-based public affairs firm, and has represented Fortune 100 companies before the U.N. Conference of Global Climate Change in Kyoto, Japan, the U.S. EPA, and members of Congress.

Julia began her career as director of communications and advocacy for the Chicago Anti-Hunger Coalition and holds a degree in Political Science from Marquette University.
