Margo O'Hara brings five years of experience in non-profit communication, policy and issues management, crisis communications and media relations to Res Publica Group. Her professional background includes rebranding implementation, message development and social media integration.

Before joining Res Publica Group, Margo served as the Director of Communications for the Active Transportation Alliance, a Chicago-based transportation advocacy organization. During her tenure, Margo led the communications and media strategies around major legislative campaigns, local advocacy efforts, major events and issues awareness.

Her ability to build relationships and credibility with members of Chicago's media has resulted in coverage on the city's two leading newspapers' front pages and editorial pages, event coverage, successful press events and consistent coverage on radio and television broadcasts. Furthermore, Margo has been able to identify pivotal local and neighborhood media and earn coverage in those outlets.

She successfully navigates the ever-changing political and social landscapes of Chicago and its surrounding communities always with the goal of delivering the most effective messages in the most useful way.

Margo earned a Bachelor's in journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and lives in Chicago.
