David Powell has nearly 20 years experience in all facets of financial management, ranging from international engineering/construction to post-secondary education.  Prior to joining Res Publica, David served for five years as Chief Financial Officer at a Chicago-based integrated communications agency where he provided financial management and oversight for public relations, advertising, and sports marketing entities. 

David holds a master’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where he was named the outstanding graduate in his class, and has a bachelor’s degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He holds professional affiliations with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
