Liz Coffey joins Res Publica Group as a Senior Account Executive after working as a Washington Correspondent for Medill News Service. Serving as a print and broadcast reporter covering political and regulatory issues, Liz brings media expertise and political insight to the firm’s clients.

Prior to working in Washington D.C., Liz was with NBC Network News’ Midwest Bureau where she worked under tight deadlines to conduct interviews and develop stories for the “Today Show.” Before her time with NBC, Liz was with CNN where she researched for “Lou Dobbs Tonight” and worked closely with producers and writers for the production of “The Situation Room.”

As the media continues to evolve, Liz’s experience with digital media is critical in providing clients with integrated communication strategies across all mediums. From Web site and blog development to digital videos and Internet content management programs, Liz is skilled in effectively using new media to reach a desired audience and influence public opinion.

Liz has worked on political campaigns conducting background research and coordinating candidate interviews with print and broadcast media outlets. She also has experience in facilitating focus groups to glean greater insight into public opinion to influence public debate.

Liz has a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While studying at Notre Dame, Liz wrote biweekly columns for the campus newspaper on topics of political, national and local interest.

Liz currently resides in Chicago.
